Analysis of social competencies of primary school teachers

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of social competences among primary school teachers. The aim of the work is to compare the social competences of a selected group of respondents. The theoretical part is devoted to the topic of social competences in relation to the teaching profession, focusing on the general characteristics of the issue of social competences. Next, the very meaning and role of social competences. In brief, the research method used by us and the general characteristics of the teaching profession and teaching in terms of personality requirements are characterized. The practical part consists of the results of a standardized questionnaire survey using the Social Competence Inventory-ISK test. (Hoskovcová, Vašek, 2017) The aim of the research investigation is to determine, find and compare differences in the self-assessment of the level of social competences achieved by a selected group of respondents. The ISK items fill 17 primary scales, which can be combined into four main secondary scales. The secondary scales subsequently include: social orientation (SO), offensiveness (OF), self-control (SE), reflexivity (RE). The relation between parenting style and social competencies of adolescents

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of social competities of adolescents. The aim of this study is finding out into a correlatoion between parenting styles and social competencies of adolescent. The theoretical part is devided into four chapters. These chapters describe the basic concepts: the period of adolescence, upbringing, parenting styles, social competencies and relations between parenting style and social competencies. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey. The sample consists of 76 respondents from a secondary school. To measure selected variables, Parenting Styles Questionnaire (Čáp, Boschek) and Inventory of Social Competencies (ISK) (Kanning) were used. Finally, the collected data are statistically processed and evaluated. It has been proven in the practical part that parenting styles are related to some social competencies. Most correlations were validated between parenting styles and selfcontrol and between parenting styles and reflexibility.

Resumé Summary The thesis Social Competence of Middle School Management concerns with school management. It is dealing with its division into three levels according a model of business management. The main focus is on competence models, its application in education environment with attention to social competence in middle school management. The thesis comes from a theory of business management and from English school system experience. The key source is a book A. Gold Management of current school. The theoretical part is dealing also with competence model, a definition of the term competence and mainly with social competences. The competence models in school management are utilizable in selective procedure concerning filling key management vacancies. The competence model of the specific position is also a tool for a feedback and evaluation. The outcome of the questionnaire confirmed the statement, that a simple transfer of the business management division into school environment is not convenient. Furthermore, it was shown, that the most disputable position for inclusion into management level is the deputy headmaster. Comparing the Success of Children's Homes and Detention Centres at Preparing Individuals for Life Outside an Institution Ivana Gabaľová Bachelor's Thesis 3.1.2012 SOSP FSV UK Abstract In her thesis, the author discusses the situation of young adults after leaving institutional care, their level of social integration and ability to cope with independent life. She deals with the impact of environment on the socialization process, with the nature and extent of potential for a successful life these individuals posses from their family, and what the role of the institution in the process of their preparation for independent life is. The paper examines differences in the needs of clients of children's homes and detention centres and seeks to identify critical factors determining success in their personal lives and on the labour market. Expert interviews with staff of both of these types of institution conclude that differences between children's homes and detention centres in this regard are negligible. In detention centres there is a bigger emphasis on obedience due to problematic behaviour of the wards, whereas in children's homes, children have more freedom. The Implementation of Ethic Education as a Supplementary Educational Subject in the Czech Republic

In this work we have been researching how Ethic Education influences the pupils behaviour and the social climate in the classroom. For this research we have used a mixed quantitative and a qualitative methodology. In the quantitative part we have realized our research through the natural experiment with one observed independent variable which applicated the programme of Ethic Education for basic school pupils and secondary school students in a period of one year. We have observed these dependant variables of pupils behaviour: the amount of the prosocial behavior, the amount of anxiety and the amount of the behavioural problems. In a group we have observed: the quality of the social climate and the amount of the trust. In the qualitative part we have tried to examine how pupils and teachers perceive Ethic Education and what principles they use for it. We have used these methods of collecting information: a nomination technigue, a questionary About Your Fellowstudents, a questionary About Your Emotions, a questionary CES, a questionary SDQ. Social and Personal Key Competence Development in Textbooks of French as a Foreign Language

The diploma thesis deals with one of the most important parts of the concept of the Czech educational system - with so-called key competencies. It is focused on two key competencies - the personal and social competencies. In the theoretical part, it deals with notions of the personal and social competence in general - it is focused on the meaning of these two competencies and on the individual areas which they contain. In case of the social competence, the thesis focuses mainly on areas of social communication, social skills, social intelligence and so-called pro-social behaviour. In connection with the personal competence, it deals mainly with areas of self-knowledge, self-conception, self-evaluation, self- organization or self-regulation, as well as with the area of psychohygiene. Theoretical information about personal and social competencies is explicitly linked with language teaching. The practical part analyses four chosen French textbooks and evaluates them in terms of their potentiality to develop both competencies. It evaluates whether the chosen textbooks develop personal and social competencies and if so - to which extent.
Developing Social Skills in Individuals With Autism at a Yunger Age

The aim of the bachelor work is to ascertain issues related to the development of social skills of younger school-age pupils with autism spectrum disorders. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part includes theoretical pieces of knowledge and information which acquaint us with autism issues. At first, we focus on the term of autism spectrum disorder followed by historical development of ASD and current findings. Afterwards we mention the occurence, treatment and diagnosis of autism as well as the autism triad. The chapter on the characteristics of particular autism spectrum disorders is significant, too. Social skills and the way of education of children with autism in the Czech Republic are mentioned in the conclusion of the theoretical part. The aim of the other part of the bachelor work is to obtain some information on the way and quality of the development of social competences of monitored younger school-age pupils with autism spectrum disorders being integrated at primary schools in the form of the qualitative research. By monitoring and making interviews and analysis of documents, there will be created case studies regarding investigated pupils which will be supplemented with the author´s own experience gained by cooperating with these individuals. The purpose of the work will be to answer stated research questions and to achieve the determined target. The benefit of this bachelor work is to get new data on the topic being researched and to enrich existing pieces of information on this issue.
Preventive programs for the elderly people as a topic of social- education

The thesis deals with preventive programs for the old people. The aim of the thesis is to explain how can preventive programs for old people develop social competences of old people. For old people is important to maintain self sufficiency and autonomy, because this affects their quality of life, which is important for their integrity. The old people can be at risk of social exclusion based on risk factors, such as retiring to retirement and related loneliness. Old people may become victims of violance or abuse. Therefore, it is important, that society can offer preventive programs to develop their social competences. The thesis shows some examples of selected preventive programs.
